First I'll post my system:
AMD T-Bird 1 Ghz
Abit KT7A
256 SDRAM
76 GB IBM U ATA 100 disk
WIN2K with SP2
Geforce 2 GTS
Nvidia 12.90 drivers
Via 4 in 1 4.33
Now the problem:
When playing some games, at a certain moment, the game just freezes, my harddisk starts reading like a madman, does it for couple of secs, then just returns to normal, no error messages, game continues etc.
This happens with Unreal Tournament, a few minutes into the game, then never happens again(using OpenGL), it happens with Diablo II
aswell and with Max Payne aswell. But these last games just freeze for couple of secs, HD reads like a nut, unfreezes, I can play on, but after about 50 mins later it happens again, pretty weird.
Could you guys help me with this?
Ah BTW I ordered 256 extra RAM this week, so if that's the problem, I'll know it
