<the next morning> installation i noticed it said 5.1 hmm i have a live Value.. "heck..y not... try it anyways" says the lil voice in my head. so i go for it... after the routine clicks of next, and agreeing with terms, it installed.. ONLY PLAYCENTER 2!!! WTF?! 300+ megs for PLAYCENTER!? i went to the extraction directory, and took a look. NO FRIGGIN WONDER IT'S 300 MEGS!! they have 8 different languages PACKED in there!! i went into the english directory, and noticed it's just like the Creative CD that comes with ur SB card, so... i went into setup, and installed the rest of the stuff.. (audioHQ, newer drivers, yadda, yadda, yadda) so far, i havn't noticed anything that says "compaq" or any other funny changes. hope it doesn't when i restart! kiz

i'm downloading it rite now.. estimated time, 3 hours at ~30k oh well.. i've updated before, and had some problems with AudioHQ it says COMPAQ released these drivers. does that mean if we don't have compaq machines, we can't use it? Kizagjo

i also have an idea.. if ur deleting files from say... Windows\System\*.dll or some other system files... windows has a hidden directory call dll_cache (or something like that) when u delete a System file, say... openGL.dll it'll be gone, but when u refresh it, it's back cuz windows restores it from the hidden directory. Either overwrite it in the hidden directory, or delet it from there. Another thing is... this directory REMAINS hidden even if u have 'show hidden directory' the reason for this is because it holds the stability of the NT system because it doesn't allow other programs/users to overwrite the NT dll file. Hope this helps.. Kiz

Hi, i'm on an @Home network, and i recently bought a SMC Baracade Router SMC7004ABR. Both computers are connected to the internet, and can ping each other, but they can't see each other over Network Neighborhood and My Network Places. Both have file sharing installed, and have SOMETHING shared. Both workgroups are the same name. I can't think of anything rite now... if anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Kiz

i need some help for my ATI RADEON 64DDR VIVO. For some games i play the graphics get really messed up (examples below). This seems ONLY to happen on D3D games. when i run it in OpenGL it's fine. i contacted ATI, they couldn't find any problems and whatever, they told me to return the card to them, and they'd mail me a new one. WHATEVER. so i'm trying to get some help online. I know it's not the drivers cuz i've tried old drivers, new drivers, and still the same problem. i've set up my motherboard and win2k settings, and radeon settings to ATI specifications and still nothing. Here are the pics http://www.geocities.com/me1128/counterstrike.jpg http://www.geocities.com/me1128/d1.jpg http://www.geocities.com/me1128/d2.jpg http://www.geocities.com/me1128/d3.jpg Because they're on Geocities, u gotta copy and paste into a new window Thanks Kiz _________ AMD TB 900 Asus A7V Pro 133 512 SDRAM 133 30 GIG HD 4 GIG HD 64mg DDR RADEON ViVo SB Live!
