I doubt that there is any program that counts that and even if it were I often switch my recorders between my computers. Only way would be that the recorder itself would count burner cds.

F***ING S*IT. ;( After running the bsod screensaver. I wanted to get out of it and pressed enter and it gave me a REAL BSOD. WTF PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA I had to reboot my machine. Stupid program. BTW I never had a BSOD with this machine ... until now.

I modified my slotket recently and have managed to run a celeron 700 on a BX chipset slot1 mobo. Nothing special. But I have an old LX chipset slot1 mobo, wich did post but got stuck at the processor identification. This mobo isn't even ATX it's a micro AT. I surfed around and found a beta bios that had support for larger hdd's. And It worked Yesssss . This box will probably become my divx player. I have an ultra quiet at power supply. You don't even hear it running from 1m distance. I'm gonna try to setup windows xp. Wish me luck. Am I crazy :x or am I crazy :x P.S: I wish I had tried this earlier.

There's a fix or a registry hack to tell windows98 not to use the ram above 512MB. You can setup a multiboot system win98 & win xp or 2000. There's no need to remove ram fisically

Basicaly I have problem with my ISP. I have a 256Kb cable modem connection with a Thomson cable modem connected via ehternet. Sometimes I just get no connection to the internet. It connects well at startup, but while I'm working I get disconected. If I try to ping my isp I get "Request timed out." I also tried replacing my ethernet card but still the same. I'm looking for a program that will ping a certain ip every minute or so and log time and connection (if there was response or not). I need this to tell my ISP when there was a connection and when not. Than they'll check if the problem is on there or on my side. Does anyone know of such program or something similar? THNX

What good would newer drivers do. What games will you play with it? I doubt that there will be anything different for such an old GPU. I have a GF2MX and I use 41.09 because of the new look. I still use dx8.1 cos some games won't run on 9.

You can try downloading the .inf file from your monitor manufacturer.

In winamp there is a plugin that is called disk writer. There you can select the output destination and format. Just open the playlist select output destination and format (mp3 wav...) and then press play.

I only got the spanish version. Is it available in english? -
Are high point onboard controlers less good than promise. You can just get a mobo that has a high point controler and use it without creating a raid 0 or 1.

Andy it doesn't help, but if one of your partitions become corrupted the it WILL help . I never put my documents or any other important stuff on c:. I also like to put my swap file on a special drive (not whetre my documents are). In most cases when windows screws up, the partition that windows is installed on is most likley to get corrupted (my experience). And if you have a dynamic swap file it can get corrupted too. BTW backing up your data is still the safets way although I don't use it as often as I should

No not reinstall. Just boot from your windows cd and at one point you can select if you want to repair an installation or setup a new one.

Try to repair the windows installation.

Maybe norton ghost would be a better solution, but I don't think that's the problem. Did you try fixboot beside fixmbr?

I like Suse. I have the pro version of 8.0 (7cd's). It's was quite easy to configure. I'm sure there are better linux distributions than suse, but you can start here. If you ask me suse is better than mandrake and redhat. Haven't tried debian though.

I have a SW-408 (8x writing). No problems here. Check if your system detects it corectly at boot. Also look into the device manager.

Quote: It's the internal address of the cable modem. For mine, it's 192.168.100.1 That's with a Motorola Sufboard 3100, so yours might be different. It's the same. Took me a while . But it's not the info I need. I'm gonna try ipsentry. -

Tried my ip, but guess my modem was to cheap to have something like that . The DUmeter program doesn't help either. I know I could run ping in background, but it pings to often and it doesn't record time. -

Quote: Does your cable modem have any biult in diagnostics? If I enter the local IP address of my cable modem, I can see exactly what it's doing. Where do you enter your local ip?
