I recommend using DOSBox and install the DOS version of the game. Works like a charm.

Hi! I'm running Windows 2000 with SP2. The reason I'm not using SP3 or SP4 is that my MIDI software won't work, since they included the XP MIDI routines. There's a upgrade for my software available, but that will cost me $50. So I'm still on SP2. Anyway, I noticed awhile ago that I have TWO svchost.exe running directly after startuo. While fooling around with it a couple of minutes ago I had THREE of them. A restart made it back to two. I don't want to have two active. It's not like that after a pure installation, is it? Any idea what the cause could be, and/or how to make it to only one svchost.exe active? I'm not too happy of the idea to make a reinstall of Windows. Thanks, Freddo

Well, I'm clumsy and tired. That's all. I moved, somehow, the menu down below the address field and pulled up the whole thing so it was nowhere to be seen. :x

That's not it. EDIT: Nevermind. Fixed it. *silly me* 8)

I had some problems with SP3 (midi related). So I smacked in SP2 earlier today.

Hi! I use Windows 2000 pro and Explorer 5.0 I have no idea how, but my menus have dissapeared! I can't go into 'Edit' or 'View' for example. Quite annoying. Any ideas how to get it back? Regards, Freddo

Why not install the DirectX version?

Hi! Hopefully someone can help me with this... I use w2k pro and when I start an OLD 16-bit MS-DOS program the OS complain over a disc-access problem. A popup come up and I can choose between closing the program or ignore the warning. If I ignore it everthing works as it should do. My question is: Is it somehow possible to make the popupwarning to NOT appear? To have the ignore setting somehow as default? Not a big problem, I know. But I would appreciate any help.

The release have been pushed up. It's June now. Hopefully early june.

It will be released this month(may). And it has over 800(!) fixes since SP2.

I didn't have any problems to install Daggerfall under w2k pro just pr-man. Why? I don't know. Didn't even use APPCOMPAT. For the sound I'm using VDMSound so I'm having no problem there either. Check out this: http://www.elderscrolls.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/005592.html

Hi! DirectX is a collection of lots of functions that help programmers to make (mostly) games. Since you don't play the newest games (do you?) you won't need DX8. And DX7 comes preinstalled with w2k, I think. Since everything seems to work fine, there's no NEED for up[censored] your drivers. If there are any newer drivers availible for you soundcard, they are probably only gamerelated fixes. Same goes for the videocard. -
Wierd! I installed and played Driver some weeks ago. I use w2k. Did you use the latest patches for Driver?
