Agreed. A few months back, they tried to put a pro point up for the AMD platform even if the P4 kicked the sh*t out of it.

What you should do is place the installation files in a shared folder. Then you need to find the software to access the shared folder from the bootdisk. Sorry, I can't remember the software that you need, hope someone else does.

Builtin groups should retain the permissions and you can also take ownership of the custom folders and grant new permissions.

Hmmmm, seen something similar with my friends machine except his crackled all the time. Not sure if it's the same thing or not. This may sound off but try using diff video modes ie 16bit colour. I found on my mates machine if he was in 16 bit it was fine. In the end he went back to 98 till he brought a new sound card. P.S. Is that Mobo based on the VIA KT133 chipset?

I've found that most games require admin rights to run or require the registry permissions to changed to run as limited users. Personally for home computers just create another account with admin rights and use that.

The system restore points are stored in a subdirectory that folder. Also to access the folder, you need to give yourself permission to the folder as on SYSTEM has access by default.

I've lost files on FAT32 before. I changed to NTFS and had no probs since. I also have a mate who lost a Diablo II character using FAT32. Boy was he pissed, He uses NTFS now.

That works on capture cards that are not based on the BT chipset.

Windows Media Player 8 owns in all media types

I don't know what chipset it uses but I do know that it doesn't work with DScaler.

DVD drives rip digital audio far better than regular CD-ROM drives. You also have the ability to copy DVD movies to divx format too. But the main thing is that I find that DVD drives read CDs better than CD drives.

With windows 2000 and Xp, I sometimes find that some games don't see the IPX protocol. I haven't found a workaround as of yet. Have you tried the compatibility modes?

Try the Epson site or http://www.windrivers.com

I'd assume they'd give you the VMware tools with the trial. Anyways try this: 1. Instal Linux 2. Click the Install VMware tools 3. In the Help file there is a set of commands that must be entered to install the tools (you'll need to goto the files cos I don't know anything bout Linux). If that doesn't work, try contacting the VMware people for more information

Have you installed IPX?

You can load the pic and then go straight to temporary internet files and copy the picture from there. P.S. I've seen older versions of IE do this as well.
-
What guest OS are you trying to run? Also when you click the installl VMware tools, it actually loads a cd iso that has the tools on it. In most cases the ISO autorun should start. If not have a look on the VMs cd drive.

Files have a tendancy to corrupt under FAT32. NTFS also doesn't suffer lost clusters.

A frind of mine was just wondering if it does and if it is worthwhile

The board is a Gigabyte GA-7ZX

I agree, trying to use XP with under 192MB is horrible. I ran it for a while under 96MB and boy it was slow. With 352MB it works fine. I also have all the visual features on too.
