Found some banshee drivers! http://148.244.222.107/banshee/BANSHEE-WIN-XP_FULL_SUPPORT-ver1.11-beta.zip

No, you don't have too. It's just a way to minimize the possibility of other problems screwing something up.

Hi! Try x3dfx, they should be able to help.
-
Hey, I'm not quite sure where you would be able to find a banshee driver these days. I would suggest taking a visit to x3dfx and seeing if they can help you out. And for the TV tuner, here's what you do: download this patch, and then select "Win2k Compatibility Mode". This should work, according to pinnacle systems. Let me know if this helps!

PLEASE! -
Cairey's drivers work extremely well. They are the top drivers as of tonight. It uses some of HOE's code, and also gives you all sorts of cool 3dfx tools and options. No crashes or wierd colors either!

Doesn't work, huh? I hate it when things don't work! Here's a step by step that removes pretty much any problems: Right click on the "my computer" icon on your desktop Click on the "hardware" tab Click on "device manager" Double click on "display adapters" Right click on "voodoo3" (or whatever name it is) Click on "uninstall" Once that's done, go to "control panel" Double click on "add/remove programs" Uninstall "3dfx tools" Restart your comp Hold down F8 Select "safe mode" Once in safe mode, run Cairey's setup Once that is done, restart your comp Let me know if you still have problems!

Anyone......? -
AH! I can't believe this! I just bought a All-in-wonder 128 PCI from my friend because my Voodoo3 had crappy support under Win XP (as of last week). So I go install the new xp drivers...and my computer will not boot up in normal mode. So I go through and see that WinXP is trying to use theirs. So I uninstall that. Uninstall anything that is related to a video adapter. And it doesn't boot up. So I go through "update driver", still craps out. When I go to safe mode, XP tells me that it crashed because of "ati2dvaa.dll". So I reinstalled, same problem. I deleted everything that ATI ever put in my computer, by going through and checking dates in the windows folder and system32 folder. Uninstall everything. Reinstall everything. Craps out. So I finally took the ati2dvaa.hl from the Win2k driver folder, renamed it to ati2vaa.dll, and wrote over the WinXP version. Now it boots up, but in 800X600 mode in 4-bit color as the only option. WinXP recognizes that it is my only card, recognizes as a All-in-Wonder 128 PCI, and is only using the new ATI drivers. So I tried writing over the ati2dvaa.dll with the WinXP ati2dvaa.dll (renamed) version. Same thing. I've cleaned the registry, all files in the windows directory with ati*.*, updated my BIOS to the newest version, done a clean install numerous times, used powerstrip, and it still won't work. Can someone tell me what ati2dvaa.dll is? I believe it is the core driver. When I delete it, Windows boots, but in 800X600 in 4 bit color. System specs: K6-2 500 mhz ASUS P5A-B with newest BIOS ATI All-In-Wonder 128 PCI Viewsonic E771 Windows XP Professional Newest drivers for everything. No IRQ's are causing problems. Can someone please help?!

Hello, Sna-e! Here's the low down on the Voodoo3 XP situation. What happened is 3DFX is out of buisness, so there was no one to write new drivers for XP. Nvidia has aquired all of 3DFX's assets, but they are not going to release new drivers. So Microsoft wrote their own for XP. And because they're Microsoft, they didn't include any support for OpenGl or Glide, (as they are competitors to DirectX). So what is a Voodoo3/4/5 user to do? Well, there are some L337 H4X0rs out there that have made some drivers. It has taken a long time, but there is finally a version that works the best. A bunch of guys have been steadily releasing better and better versions. A guy named Cairey figured out the last part that was making things crash, and now everything is peachy! You can download his drivers at: Voodoo3 WinXP drivers His web page and F.A.Q. is at http://go.to/cairey Also,x3Dfx is an excellent resource. Good luck! I'll be around to help if it doesn't work
