In short, I lost my serial for Windows2000 OEM-version. The key was on the manual which is nowhere to be found...What can I do? Call Microsoft? Can they help me with my problem, especially when it's an OEM-version? Get somebody else's cd-key? But isn't it cd-specific? Find it in the registry? I've only found the product id, which isn't the same as the serial... Before you all start shouting <nasty W-word> let me tell you I'm using a legit version of w2k, so I have the nice shiny hologrammy disc and the proper licence (which is lost though ). And please, no patronizing, I've already hit myself over the head a couple of times for losing it

(I don't know if this is the right place for this so my apologies if i'm totally lost) Whenever I try to uninstall a program that uses Installshield, I get the following error message: Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\InstallShield\engine\6\Intel The specified module could not be found This happens with every single program that uses Installshield. I didn't have any problems installing these. How can I fix this? I'm running Windows2000 on a 1Ghz T-Bird, 384megs of ram and a Geforce2Pro.

That Microsoft support thingy didn't work. I followed the path the error message gave, but didn't find anything unusual...

Well today I tried 5 different drivers trying to get FF7 to work. The 12.41s, 12.90s, 14.10s, 21.83s and 22.50s. No change in either 3d- or software-mode. This is slowly starting to tick me off. What drivers do have if you can get FF7 to work? My screen is still black, the only thing I see is the blue talk-boxes....

What am I doing wrong when I can't even play FF7? I can start the game but after I choose "new game" all I see is the conversations, but no graphic at all. Everything is black 'cept for the blue talk-bars I have tried running FF7 with and without the patch, in software and in 3D, with and without QFixApp (all of these combinations). What up? I'm running W2k onna 1ghz T-bird, 384megs and GF2 Pro with all the latest drivers. Edit: Oh and yes, I have read the old thread about FF7 but those tips haven't helped either
