Ofelas, No Corp does not do a real time scan of POP3 as they are recieved. It will only scan attachment once executed. A shortfall yes....however it uses alot less CPU cycles and less RAM while it's running. NAV 2004 Pro has become bloatware. cheers da' wook

Been investigating several hardware vendors of DVR's for use with Closed Circuit Cameras. I'm relativly new to hardware security. Here's my needs. IP access. Ability to do external backup - via IDE or SCSI (as unit will have internal drive of 40-80Gb) Secure access. (been using no-ip.com and dyndns.org over 1.5 DSL connection it works ) This is what I'm looking at. EchoVue here's there plugin. At my work a "user" changed the bios language. I can flash the bios back in english..no probs. Now I'm trying to find out who did it? Does anyone recogize this? Call your respective Hard Drive manufacturer. Maxtor; Western Digital, Seagate....etc If you're drive is within 3 yrs old and purchased before June 2002. Most if not all drives have a 3 year warranty. Call the support line and order an RMA. They'll send you a drive ( on a credit card ), pack yours up and send it back. If they recieve your drive within 30 days the charges are reversed off the credit card and voila. New drive. Just don't lie to them. If it's making noise or the MBR is not be recognized that's all you have to tell them. They make money on repeat customers, so they'll make you happy. I sent back a Maxtor 40GB 7200 3x. Finallly sent me a 60gb7200. Drive was of bad batch, had a high pitch squeal and all three drives had discolouration on the same IC on bottom of drive. Good luck. P.S. You can do this any all hard drive failures. All you need is serial number ( on drive ) and Warranty info ( expiry date is on drive ) no receipts are required. cheers

The virus you have sounds like the w95.hybris.gen. check out http://service1.symantec.com/sarc/sarc.nsf/html/pf/w95.hybris.gen.html This one infected alot of our workstations. Takes a few minutes to fix, but damage is pretty low. Don't worry it's fixable. cheers.

Price was just too good to pass. $140 (Canadian/ equals $20 US - ha ) Not too much performance gain from my Radeon VIVO64DDR; benefits are Smartshading - better T&L. One thing have to mention: clarity.....Crap is it clear. Used it on my Samsung 950P 19" beautiful pic. Drivers are stable.....video out to TV Res is same as desktop. I'm Canadian so we tend to cheer on ATI for being a local superstar....but no more "just because it's Canadian" it is sweet on it's own merit.

You stated you left your system on all night d/l on DSL? Do you use Morpheus or Kazaa? I have the same thing using Morpheus 1.33. Use APK's advice, kill the process and start her up again. I have similar problems on my 2k machine with the latest Morpheus damned if i can't find the one of the earlier releases. cheers.

Gents....are there any of the latest Radeon XP driver hacks out there...dated after the released 6.13.3276's? Frame rates or horrific in D3D games, suprisingly GL runs ok. Even having texture tears and misaligned poly's. Avg. Res. 1024 @ 32bit. I know ATI sucks for drivers, but Win2k was sweet like butter, and can't go back after XP Pro 2600. Cheers.
