How to completely remove Internet Explorer 6 from XP system?
Shakti replied to gisot's topic in Everything New Technology
In my humble opinion this is not possible for windows 2000 and XP. There was something like ie-eradicator, but only for w95 - w98. -
You might find one here: http://www.scanner-drivers.com/companies/17.htm

Did you try to rebuild your icon cache? There could be more elegant ways, but u can use a test version of microangelo on display to rebuild it. Normally after that your icons should be okay.

Thanks for your help, its a bit difficult in germany, because there are court-decisions wich are in contrast to what you sign when you install windows. So in germany you call microsoft and ask if you can buy OEM products from private and they say NO, but german courts decide YES.

I have installed and activated it. I bought it separately.

Can someone PLEASE shed some light onto this problem

because you mentioned kingpin - life of crime, that game is so rocksolid so at least it has absolutely nothing to do with the games themself. so maybe overclocked grafikcard, ram, heat... -

Hi, i do not have the solution but at least i can tell you what it is not: halflife installs fine on xp or w2k, but when you want to run it you must update to the current version of halflife, at the moment version 1.1.1.0 but for even not installing i think maybe the grafikcard could be a problem. what you could try is installing on some other xp machine, saving the registry during installation, copying the install of halflife from this other machine on cd and put it on your laptop and import the registry settings for halflife on your laptop.

Hi, need expert help with the Windows.NET Standard Server RC1. After struggling 24 hours to get into the MS downloadpage betatesting is fun, but it would look much nicer without the notice on the desktop: Evaluation Copy etc. Having deleted 2 well known registry settings did not help. Any ideas?
