VENUGOPAL 0 Posted November 8, 2000 Hai! Any body pl let me know is there any way to share internet access without installing proxy or webramp. This questioned i faced in an interview. Thanks Regards venugopal.s Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted November 8, 2000 Yes. You can put two NIC cards in your server and set it up as a router. The one NIC card would have the internet connection with that network ID, and the other would go off to your network with that network ID. And the routing service would connect the two. Any computer on your network would then use the network ID of the second nic card as the Gateway address... which would lead you to the first nic card and the internet. ------------------ ********************************************** ---Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.--- ********************************************** Pentium II 450@504 4.5X112 256MB PC100 SDRAM Diamond Viper V770 Ultra Sound Blaster Live!
