Lordlala 0 Posted November 17, 2000 To be honest I dont know, im extremely new, with very little background (only windows 98 networking backgroun) in networking windows 2000, is there any way you can guide me through it? Share this post Link to post
Lordlala 0 Posted November 17, 2000 Ok, I have them networked now, I found out I needed to install NetBEUI, so thats settled, but my whole goal is to have my cable modem run through the computer with Windows2000 FIRST, and then have my 2 other computers share the connection (clients) so that they are better protected while surfing the net and what not. How can I go about doing this? Share this post Link to post
clutch 1 Posted November 17, 2000 To make it easier, you would be better off using Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) or getting Winroute. Either of which will walk you through the setup of networking all the machines using TCP/IP (which you will need to get them online with the Internet). ICS is free, and comes with the Operating Systems that you are using, and Winroute is something you would have to buy. I have heard that ICS works quite well. ------------------ Regards, clutch Share this post Link to post
Lordlala 0 Posted November 18, 2000 I have IShare (All_Aboard), I have heard that is the best, but still, I am boggled on how to set up my computer with Windows 2000 as the computer that my cable modem runs through first. And I want my other computers to be clients and Internet Share from the Windows 2000 computer. Share this post Link to post
