Exorcist 0 Posted March 31, 2000 There's a registry file floating around which can enable coolbits in 5.13 (I've had it working before). Sure someone here will be able to send it you. Exorcist Share this post Link to post
Exorcist 0 Posted April 1, 2000 The one I was using for 5.13 (before all this comp nonsense buggered it up) added the overclocking sliders to the other boxes added with 5.13. I hadn't tried it, just a registry setting whch enables them... Exorcist Share this post Link to post
prum555 0 Posted April 2, 2000 Try www.tweak3d.net/tweak. There is lots of registry files for various tweaking. Good site. Share this post Link to post
Reidyn 0 Posted April 2, 2000 Even with CoolBits enabled, you're not going to get sideband AGP working. You will get control over the core and memory clocks, and ability to control / disable VSYNC. Put the following lines into a text file and name it "coolbits.reg" (everything between the dashed lines, but not including the dashed lines): ----------------------------- Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak] "CoolBits"=dword:00000003 ------------------ Save it, then double-click it to enable coolbits. Samy 0 Posted April 3, 2000 coolbits is OK, but my problem is to change AGP 2x to 1x because my Athlon MB locks with AGP 2x. 5.13 set AGP 2x by default. "EnableIrongate2x"=dword:00000000 is OK with W98, in W2K AGPx2 does not change to AGPx1 Share this post Link to post
spacey 0 Posted April 3, 2000 yes.. what exactly is coolbits before i go poking into the reg? Share this post Link to post
prum555 0 Posted April 4, 2000 Spacey.. Coolbits is a Nvidia tweak that you can use to change the CORE and Memory speed of TNT2/GeForce chips. You can down load the Registry files from www.tweak3d.net/tweak After you apply the registry update you will have a new Hardware option in the Nvidia dialog of the Display properties. Make sure you apply the Nvidia 5.13 driver first. Have fun. Share this post Link to post
