Fozz 0 Posted December 21, 2000 Hi all. I used to be on these foums a lot but have been "away" for some time, so maybe his Q is allready answered way back when, but here it goes! I have the final Trial version (build 2195)of Win2K Pro installed and so I have the system clock set back so it won't timeout. I was gonna get a new HDD and do a new clean install of the full version of Win2k but I was just wondering what would happen if I installed SP1 over my trial version..? Is thi recommended? Will it install OK and will it get rid of the time limit on the Trial version? Any inf you people have on this is appreciated. Happy Christmas! Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted December 23, 2000 It might get rid of the time limit. There are other ways to remove it but I've never tried it this way. Try it! Share this post Link to post
ThC 129 0 Posted December 24, 2000 if you want to get rid of the timelimit then just get a hacked setupreg.hiv file that will take the timelimit off. I don't know if Sp1 will install on a trial version. Share this post Link to post
