INFERNO2000 0 Posted September 12, 2000 Hi, Looking to buy a Voodoo3 2000(or comparable)..must have 16 MB RAM, and be AGP. Share this post Link to post
Four and Twenty 0 Posted September 12, 2000 v3 for 30 bux! Good luck! I have an ATI rage pro 8 meg AGP if you are interested. Share this post Link to post
INFERNO2000 0 Posted September 12, 2000 Or comparable Besides...I've seen new 2000s for about 50..and I want used. Share this post Link to post
Vechlor 0 Posted September 13, 2000 I have a Creative Labs Riva TNT 16MB AGP card. I'm not sure if it compares with a voodoo3 2000 [what ever that is ]. But I'm looking for $40 shipped. This card is strong and is vary overclockable. It has a heatsink / no fan on it which runs fine without the fan when not overclocked of course. I've been using this on a c366 computer and I get really good game play in half-life 800x600 32-bit color and quake III runs great at 800x600 16bit color with options on medium with 32-40 FPS. let me know if you are interested.. chesvr@jps.net Share this post Link to post
INFERNO2000 0 Posted September 13, 2000 That should be adequate for my needs....How does it run in D3D games(such as UT)? I'm looking for decent OpenGL...and your FPS listed should be good enough...I just need to beat the 4FPS with OpenGL in my ATI card. Share this post Link to post
INFERNO2000 0 Posted September 13, 2000 Is that a TNT or TNT2? I just went to the CL website, and all I see is the TNT2.... Share this post Link to post
Igor 0 Posted September 14, 2000 You are looking all in the wrong places http://www.3dblaster.com/products/riva-tnt/ Share this post Link to post
Vechlor 0 Posted September 14, 2000 I've been using Det.3 drivers with it and D3D games work great as well as OGL. The last time I played UT I was getting good performance in d3d at 1024x768 16bit. Its a TNT and the link Igor provided is correct. Share this post Link to post
INFERNO2000 0 Posted September 14, 2000 Ok...unless something dramatically better comes my way in the next week, put my name down for it... All I have to do is wait for that check to arrive, and I'll forward the money to you, if that's ok with you. Share this post Link to post
Vechlor 0 Posted September 14, 2000 If you find something better, go for it! But if you want to buy the card from me, I will only except money order, no check or pay pal please. This way I feel more confident receiving payment from someone I don't know, if you know what I mean. L.M.K. when you want the card before the end of next week, otherwise I will sell it on auction maybe. Share this post Link to post
Spastic Computer Guru 0 Posted October 8, 2000 The 2 cards are pretty compareable, the major difference is the Voodo supports Glide (a 3dfx renderer) where as the TNT does not, but all games that support glide also support Open GL, or D3D, so it is all set, and hey the price is right.
