Simon Ngan 0 Posted August 11, 2000 Sorry, I'm asking a question about Windows ME. I've installed a copy of Windows ME (final), but I'm not sure if I can install Tweak UI from Windows 98 as well as the Regclean? I'll need Tweak UI pretty bad as I have a separate drive for all my IE favorites. With TweakUI, I can use it and point to another directory for my favorites. Without it, I don't really know how to do it. If you have tried both Regclean and TweakUI with Win ME without any problems, please let me know. Share this post Link to post
gramaglia 0 Posted August 11, 2000 Ok, I've used WinME for a lot, and I can say that: 1) If you need TweakUI, go to http://www.wmeworld.com There you will find the Millennium version of the great util. 2) With Windows 98 came Scanreg, that automatically on start checked the registry and, eventually, cleared the errors. I haven't looked, but there should be also in WinME, search for scanregw (or wscanreg, sort of....) Hope to be of help, bye! P.S. How come you're a Senior Member with only 15 posts? Simon Ngan 0 Posted August 12, 2000 Thanks for the reply. I got the TweakUI from the link you told me and I'm all happy. It seems though that TweakUI will expire some time in August because I was just curious and roll the clock ahead 2 months, it complains about the prelease TweakUI has expired and it won't let me use it.
