** Got problems with Data Clog?

------------------------------------------------------------

** Solve it with HR's SpeedSeed.

------------------------------------------------------------

A "Data Clog" can occur when one NAS device is replicating data to a cloud service or another NAS device through the internet, and it is interrupted. This can occur because of flakey internet connections, bandwidth issues, power failures, user error, etc. Often this results in a bulge of growing data on the source NAS that needs to get through to its destination but cannot do so in a reasonable time because it's now become too large.

The normal remedy is to go to the source data site. Then make a copy of the image off the local backup onto a USB drive. Then physically transport USB drive to the remote site or cloud's physical site. Then copy it over the older and further behind image, so that the difference between the source image and the remote image is much less. And thus, not as much data is required to be transmitted from the source site to catch up the remote site and become synced much sooner.

However this can be quite time consuming and laborious when you consider that two or more additional trips may be required just to get a copy of the data from source data, and then another two or more trips required for the copy to be copied down to the destination before syncing can resume.

But what if when this occurred, the customer themselves could (in less than a minute) have a copy in-hand from the source data site to send to the destination copy site? And what if when the physical copy was received at the destination site, a tech could simply put the physical copy in and make it the live remote data and syncing could resume?

That's exactly how it can be with the full implementation of High-Rely's SpeedSeed feature. For smaller customers who may be using another office or their home as a remote site to save their business data to, this can make the difference between the solution not working at all and working well and being very affordable.
