Now that we're in the starting blocks for 2016, it's worth noting that SCALE 14X is the first-of-the-year Linux/Open Source Software event of the year worldwide, and it's taking place from Jan. 21-24 at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, Calif. She will be talking about “Improving Diversity with Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.†Sarah joins science fiction author and digital rights activist Cory Doctorow, who will be giving the Friday SCALE 14X keynote on “No Matter Who's Winning the War on General Purpose Computing, You're Losing.†The Saturday SCALE 14X keynote speaker has yet to be determined, but rumor has it that it possibly could be a celebrated Linux/FOSS developer who has orbited the earth.
