General questions about Windows XP

I have a few questions about Windows XP:

 

1. Is it based on NT engine or Win9x?

 

2. What kind of drivers do you install for your hardware? Win2k version or Win9x?

 

3. Is it true that you can install custom skins like Winamp?

1) NT.

 

2) Win2k.

 

3) Not in my version but almost for sure in the final.
