[SCALE 14X] It's (almost) showtime . . .

Recommended Posts

The SCALE Team is wrapping up preparations for this year's event --

SCALE 14X will start on Thursday and run through Sunday -- and over

the next couple of days, we'll be posting email updates on what to

expect this week.

Without further adieu, let's take a look at some of the "shows within

the show," starting with

BAD VOLTAGE LIVE: Join the Bad Voltage team for an entertaining live

show with surprises, free beer, prizes (such as a Mycroft AI), and

plenty of audience participation, on Friday at 8 p.m. This must-see

live event brings the team together to tape a live show in front of a

live audience. The usual irreverent Bad Voltage style will be in full

form with discussion and debate about Linux and Open Source, complete

with plenty of surprises, competitions, contests, and give-aways.

Although this is at the SCALE14x conference, the show is open to

everyone (but you should go to SCALE!). There will be beer. Use code

BVOLT for a special Bad Voltage discount. For more information, visit

http://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale/14x/bad-voltage-live

[Promotional break: SCALE 14X would like to recognize and thank

Silicon Mechanics, whose support helps make SCALE possible. More

information on Silicon Mechanics, visit

LINUX SUCKS: You know it doesn't. I know it doesn't. But with great

fanfare, FOSS raconteur Bryan Lunduke will bring his annual "Linux

Sucks" presentation -- complete with film crew and streaming for those

who cannot make it here to Pasadena -- at SCALE 14X on Thursday at 8

p.m. He has a book out as well -- so read the book and see the movie.

Then compare and contrast. For more information, visit Bryan's site at

[Another promotional break: SCALE 14X would like to recognize and

thank Datadog, whose support helps make SCALE possible. More

information on Datadog, visit http://www.datadoghq.com

LINUX ACTION SHOW: If you can't make the conference -- and believe me,

we'll miss you -- Jupiter Broadcasting's Linux Action Show will be on

hand broadcasting live from SCALE 14X. We'll be posting the schedule

on our social media, so you won't miss a moment of the action.

The 14th Annual Southern California Linux Expo -- SCALE 14X -- will be

held Jan. 21-24 at the Pasadena Convention Center. Registration is

still open at https://reg.socallinuxexpo.org/reg6/ and for more

information on the show, visit https://www.socallinuxexpo.org

[Final promotional break: SCALE 14X would like to recognize and thank

Microsoft, whose support helps make SCALE possible. More information

on Microsoft, visit http://www.microsoft.com
