Vampyr 0 Posted March 7, 2001 Ok, I installed 2428 and wehn it boots it doesn't load the theme services.. I have to manually start them even though it says (automatic) startup. Extremly annoying. Any one know how to fix this? Also, I can't seem to install drivers. I go to update my Nvidia drivers, everything seems to isntall correctly but when I reboot low and behold, the windows default drivers are still installed. I recently switched back to 2419 because of this. Do you think 2446 will fix this? Share this post Link to post
MSGuy 0 Posted March 7, 2001 This is related to the Activation Required key fix. When you install the OS you need to boot once into normal mode and get the error when you login saying something about reinstalling the OS. Then boot Safemode and change the reg key. If you notice when you are installing new drivers it will say it failed because the "Services Database is Locked". I have tried serveral different configurations and every time I boot straight into safe mode without trying to logon normally I always have this same list of problems. Share this post Link to post
