Blaktyger 0 Posted January 26, 2004 Is there software firewall like Zonelabs, available for Linux or Do I have to manually configure it on Linux. I used the mandrake control center to set up the firewall but all my tests failed on grc.com. Share this post Link to post

Blaktyger 0 Posted January 26, 2004 I think smoothwall is use to make your PC, a firewall. What I want is a firewall within my Linux OS. Code: The intention was to create a firewall operating system distribution based on Linux, enabling a low-end, possibly otherwise redundant, Intel and compatible PC to become a hardened Internet firewall. Thanks anyways EDIT I think I found what I was looking for. It's called Firestarter and it seems to be good so far. http://firestarter.sourceforge.net Share this post Link to post
Dapper Dan 0 Posted January 26, 2004 Oh. I see. What distro are you using? Most have a built in firewall that is very easy to configure.. Share this post Link to post

Dapper Dan 0 Posted January 26, 2004 If you look in Configure/Mandrake Control Center/Security, you should see an icon for "Firewall." Share this post Link to post
