The Toshiba XG3 1TB drive just happened to be the highest capacity M.2 2280 drive available on the market and was optimized for high performance PCs. The drive has been found to be pretty damn fast and many found it capable of rivaling the Samsung SSD 950 Pro series, but good luck finding one to buy as it is OEM market though as notebook makers like MSI have been using it.
