sapiens74 0 Posted April 17, 2001 OK I'm at the end of my rope I installed the latest Beta 2 of Whistler and everything works fine except my DSL modem. The modem is Korean (Korean Telecom Service) and all I know is that the Chipset is made by Alcatel. Everytime I try to Dial up using PPoA mode it gives me the now infamous IRQ_Not_less_or_Equal thing. I have tried to disable ACPI in bios, upgrading from a working ME and 2000, and trying every slot on my MOBO with no other cards in and everything disabled. Tried 3 different drivers as well. Works like a champ in Win2000 tho. If anyone knows how to work with DSL I'd Appreciate it SYSTEM INFO 1.1 GHZ THunderbird ASUS A7V Bios Rev 1007 Sound Blaster Live Value ELsa Gladiac GTS2 Hollywood Magic DVD Card Share this post Link to post
gordons-joint 0 Posted April 18, 2001 I got my ADSL line installed last week and now my dual PIII machine has to run with the second cpu disabled! Its an Alcatel modem and the drivers apparently have a problem with UHCI USB ports, it needs OHCI ports to work dual cpu under win2k! Not really related to your problem as such but I get the same error if I run dual CPU and connect so maybe there is some sort of USB issue with Windows XP and the modem. Since most motherboard USB ports are UHCI you may be running into the same sort of thing. Hope this helps some! Share this post Link to post
