On behalf of the release team, Adam Conrad announces the release of

Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak). He shares that key features of this

release include a new 4.8-based kernel and a shift to the GCC 6

compiler. Other features include incremental updates to LibreOffice,

Firefox, and many developer tools. Links for downloading the release

as well as the flavor releases are provided.
