CM 1 Posted May 1, 2001 That's odd. The file is in the root or you create a new one: Quote: [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect Share this post Link to post
ancker 0 Posted May 1, 2001 i'm cautious about creating a new one...as my machine might not boot is it any different for Server? (which is what i use) i also have 4 hdd and boot off the first.. thanks Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted May 3, 2001 If you dont want to write a new one, you can simply go into Win2k setup, go into the "repair" part, then "inspect boot environment" and "repair boot sector" (or whatever they say)... this will clean up all booting problems and should take care of your boot.ini problem too.
