thomas@nordichardware.com 0 Posted May 4, 2001 Hi! I'm about to set up a small server at home, with a slow comp, a Pentium 75 with about 32 MBs of RAM. I wonder what would be wisest, Win 95, NT or 98? The tasks it'll do: FTP-server (at most 2 concurrent users) Firewall Running the www.ud.com agent - If enough power's avaiable. Is this possible to do on a NT4-computer? Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted May 5, 2001 You can basically run NT 4 on a cardboard box with a drawing of a floppy on it... so yes, what you have will be fine for what you are using it for. For more details, go here: http://www.microsoft.com/NTServer/nts/exec/overview/sysreqs.asp Share this post Link to post
thomas@nordichardware.com 0 Posted May 5, 2001 Thanx! I found that page later, but I thought that I'll let the topic stay anyway. I'll also try to get a 2 GB HDD for the computer, and 48-64 MB RAM. Share this post Link to post
