BanditXL 0 Posted May 5, 2001 Is there a way by wich I can find out the type of my AMD athlon thunderbird 1200 processor whitout having to rip of the cooler? Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted May 6, 2001 What are you looking for specifically. The Athlon T-Bird at 1.2GHz is Socket A. I dont think that the T-Birds come in the Slot A version higher than 800MHz, and for sure they dont come above 1GHz. Share this post Link to post
BanditXL 0 Posted May 6, 2001 As far as I kow there are three different types of T-birds. A 266MHZ version and two whith 200 MHZ FSB(correct me if I'm wrong here). I'm trying to find out wich one I have. Share this post Link to post

ThC 129 0 Posted May 6, 2001 In that case you might have to rip the cooler off to get the processor # off it. Or try setting your FSB to 133 and see if it posts. Share this post Link to post
