RussellWild 0 Posted May 6, 2001 Hello all: I'm running Win2K SP 2. When I right click a shortcut there is now a "Compatibility" tab there, and I can choose either Win95, Win98 or WinNT from a drop down list, to try and get the program in question running. Where has this feature come from? Russell Share this post Link to post
Toby 0 Posted May 6, 2001 Have you installed Application Compatibility Toolkit? I think the tab comes with the toolkit but I'm not sure. /Toby Share this post Link to post
ThC 129 0 Posted May 6, 2001 the tab was included in the latest application compatability update I think it was the April 2001 edition that included it. Either way that is what put it in there and where it came from since all fixes are included in SPs. Share this post Link to post
RussellWild 0 Posted May 7, 2001 Thanks for clearing that up. The thing is, in the few instances I have used it, it really does seem to work. And it saves from having to set individual fixes a la AppCompat.exe! Here's a picture for those who don't know what they're looking for... http://www.wildones.fsnet.co.uk/compat.jpg Regards, R Share this post Link to post
