mcorey 0 Posted May 8, 2001 I have a Dell I8000 notebook with W2K, 512MB of memory with an ATI 32MB video card. I installed the Sims Livin Large and about a halh hour into the game it sets my display to either 800x600 or 640x480 and crashes the system. Crtl-Alt-Del won't even bring up the taxk bar, I can't get to the start bar. I have to power down. Has anyone expereinced this problem? Some other things, people who use this did they install on a FAT32 partition or an NTFS partition? Which is better? Lastly, did they install as administrator or as a power user? Thanks, Michael Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted May 10, 2001 The filesystem shouldnt have anything to do with it at all. FAT32 or NTFS should work out fine. Do you have the latest drivers and patches for your system? Share this post Link to post
mcorey 0 Posted May 10, 2001 I definetly have the lastest patches and what I can tell from the Dell site I have the lastest video drivers. Do you have any other clues? It works fine on my desktop PC, but it has problems on my laptop. thanks. Michael Share this post Link to post
