ShoeHornOPlenty 0 Posted May 13, 2001 Im amazed how something will work properly in one build and then a new one comes out and stuff gets messed up. For me Diablo 2 worked fine in build 2463, then I did a clean install of build 2465 and now I cant get past an error msg telling me that it cannot find my cd even though its in the drive. I have tried a couple cracked .exe's for Diablo 2 to try and get rid of the CD stuff but they didnt work. Anyone figure this one out yet?? Share this post Link to post
JBrave715 0 Posted May 16, 2001 Have you tried copying the D2MUSIC.MPQ file from the PLay CD to the Diablo 2 Directory? The D2 install doesn't install that file to the hard drive using full install or not and it needs that file to run and if it aint in the directory or can't be read from the CD drive it will ask for the CD whether you're using a crack or not. ShoeHornOPlenty 0 Posted May 16, 2001 I have a full install of the game and moved that music file into the folder, tried running the game afterwards with and without the crack or CD, and still no success, pretty odd it worked on 2463 and not on 2465 Share this post Link to post
ShoeHornOPlenty 0 Posted May 16, 2001 Ok I got the game to run, but ran into a new problem which I believe that someone in another thread concerning this game mentioned and that is that after the intro movies when you get the main screen that lets you choose single player or to go into battle.net, I got a black screen. I can hear the music that is supposed to be played on that screen, however, I cannot see anything and am forced to close down the game. Anyway around this new problem?? Share this post Link to post

ThC 129 0 Posted May 17, 2001 thats why i ditched XP i got sick of the build to build working then not working scenario. You guys are aware that certain parts of your registry and HD are being scanned everytime you log onto battle.net don't you just read the EULA for b.net. Share this post Link to post
