ZoSo 0 Posted May 17, 2001 Using the directions from the Windows 2000 FAQ page, I get errors. Are these directions for use in Win2000 only? When I run the unpack.bat I get this error: The W2KSP2.EXE file is linked to missing export file NTDLL.DLL:strstr. I was able to extract the files though, using WinZip. But then when I run the update.bat, I get this error: A required .DLL file, CLUSAPI.DLL, was not found. I've tried everything I've seen in these forums but I keep getting these error messages. Is there any way to make the CD in Win98? Thanks, Share this post Link to post

ValkyerieK7 0 Posted May 17, 2001 Are you trying to migrate to windows 2000?? If so, I'd recommend a clean install of 2k then install sp2. Share this post Link to post
J_Pro 0 Posted May 17, 2001 If you are in Win98 you could try using Winzip to unpack the service pack. I did and my slipstream CD works. Share this post Link to post

I was able to unpack it with winzip, but the update.bat wouldn't work. I ended up throwing another PC together(M/B, HDD, vid, and NIC, laying on a bench ) installed Win2K on it. I copied the Win2k CD on my Win98 machine, sent it over to the other one, did everything to make the ISO file, sent it back to the Win98 machine and burned it. Worked like a charm.
