Kaiser 0 Posted May 18, 2001 Hey all, Over the last few weeks I've started to notice that the fan on my ageing GeForce card is getting very noisy..I've reseated the card, checked the fan itself (it doesnt SEEM to be be touching the edges) but nothing makes a difference. Has anyone any suggestions, or is the card on its way out? Thanks in advance for any help..... Share this post Link to post
rgodart 0 Posted May 18, 2001 I think that's a known problem with creative geforces. Your fan needs some oil. If i'm not mistaken i read it a long time ago on www.geforcefaq.com Share this post Link to post

Ronin 0 Posted May 19, 2001 That is also the sign that the bushings or ball bearings on the fan are wearing out. I would suggest buying new heatsink and fan. Check this web page out. The blue orb is the best after market heatsink/fan out there. It works with existing geforce cards. http://216.157.14.244/chipset.htm Share this post Link to post
