MOTU 0 Posted May 27, 2001 I have a kenwood 72x cd-rom that was fully functional in win me. I recently switched to win2k and now I can't read cd mode 2 discs. Everything else works fine. So I talked to some ppl, and apparently, the 72x isn't fully supported in win2k. And the ones I've spoken to claim that there's simply nothing to do about it... Anyone have some of the same experience, and a way to work around it? Maybe using another cd driver... Share this post Link to post

PsychoSword 0 Posted May 31, 2001 Kenwood is a sh*t company. Now you understand that. Share this post Link to post
BladeRunner 0 Posted May 31, 2001 The Internet is unfortunately littered with people having problems with the Kenwood 72x drives. The issue surrounds the way it works, mult-laser pick-up can cause some really serious issues. Check to see if their is a Firmware upgrade for your drive. Windows 2000, like WinNT before, is very picky on Firmware versions. Share this post Link to post
