pr-man 1 Posted June 7, 2001 I have played rpgs suck as Baldurs gate 1 and 2 and Icewind Dale and others and all I have to say is that I sorely miss the "randomness" of the older RPGs. Random attacks, random treasure, freedom to deviate from the "script" The more newer RPGs I play the more depressed I get. Any ideas? Share this post Link to post
Cardinal 0 Posted June 7, 2001 Pr-man. Completely off the subject, what voltage are you running your cpu at? I once sent you a private message asking about this but you never replied.... Share this post Link to post

Wolf87 0 Posted June 9, 2001 Wizards and Warriors does not play well under Windows 2000. The town gate on the right does not open, access to the mayor's house and the wizard's are unavailable. Wizardry should bring a breath of fresh air to RPG gaming. Share this post Link to post
Grifta 0 Posted October 8, 2002 I know what you mean pr-man.. I stand middle ground on this, I like a game with a general direction but it's always good to find little nooks and side quests. I've found quite a nice RPG that resembles Ultima: Assention, it's "Gothic" check it out, I hear that they're coming out with a second one. Share this post Link to post
adamvjackson 0 Posted October 8, 2002 Perfect balance of randomness and scripted actions = final fantasy series... unfortunately the pc ports seemed to be sub-par compaired to the original versions. Share this post Link to post
Mr.Guvernment 0 Posted October 8, 2002 ^^^^ May invest in a console nest year - just to play FF and also EA sports games - seem to be getting adicted to them lately, more fun ona console then on a pc. Share this post Link to post
