thomasmthering 0 Posted June 11, 2001 I have an omnibook 5500ct and would like to install win nt 4.0. The problem is every time the last boot disk is finished it says it cant locate the cdrom drive. The floppy is swappable with the cdrom drive. Maybe that might help in understanding the issue. Please help. Share this post Link to post
hteles 0 Posted June 12, 2001 Can't you just boot from cdrom? NT4 Cd is bootable. If you press [ESC] during POST it will bring you a Boot Menu asking you to choose where to boot From (Cd,Floppy,Hard Disk). There you can choose to boot from cd-rom. Some Hp OB models (don't remember that one)you have to plug the FDD to the printer port when using both drives. If you look in the FDD right side there's a plug disguised, that you have to pull.
