ZoSo 0 Posted June 23, 2001 I'll be picking up a new sound card this weekend and I want to get rid of all the SBLive stuff. What's the best way to get rid of it, without doing a total reinstall of Win2K? Thanks, Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted June 23, 2001 Go to device manager, right click on your sblive card, and select uninstall. Share this post Link to post
Wolf87 0 Posted June 23, 2001 Read with Notepad oemX.inf files in Winnt\Inf folder. Remove the one that contains SB Live driver information. Share this post Link to post
ZoSo 0 Posted June 24, 2001 Thanks, I'll try it. These things should clean it out pretty good? Share this post Link to post
AndyFair 0 Posted June 25, 2001 You may also want to enter Safe Mode, go to the Add/Remove Hardware applet, select "Uninstall/Unplug a device" then "Uninstall a device", and on the next screen, tick the box that says "Show hidden devices". You can now uninstall anything that relates to the SBLive - just in case the uninstall program missed anything!! Rgds AndyF Share this post Link to post
