doctor_no 0 Posted June 29, 2001 Hi, When I try to install it with SP2 slip-streamed, installation goes through fully, but then after the very first reboot system crashes and reboots immedeately (etc. forever until I turn it off) and I am not able to write down the message. Here is however what I got once (I think this is different from the message in the case I described above). I got this error only once during installation of Win2K pro SP2, doing installation from the harddrive. STOP: 0x00000050 (0xE1904000, 0x00000001, 0x50401C66, 0x00000001) PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA Address 50401C66 base at 50400000 DateStamp 3ad7ad60 - ntoskrnl.exe this is absolutely all information on the screen during BSOD Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted June 29, 2001 Hmm... I would seriously get another stick of ram just to be safe and try that. Another thing: use the repair option off the Win2k disc. FYI: boot like you normally would to install and choose the Repair option instead of the install option. Choose the options that DO NOT require the Emergency Repair Disk or require you to do anything. It should repair the ntoskernel.exe, if not, try new ram. You may also have a bad RAM slot, so try moving the RAM to a different slot. You may try to use the orginal Win2k disk for the install, then install SP2. Share this post Link to post
cutha2 0 Posted July 1, 2001 After checking the ram I would pull out all cards but the video card (if you have an older card you could swap in that might be the worth the time). Disable all on board peripheral devices and try again to install. Share this post Link to post
