Down8 0 Posted July 3, 2001 It may very well require re-activation, if something as simple as a video card will do it. I've heard of someone replacing a video card, a sound card, and a CD-RW all at once, and still not be asked to re-activate. From what I understand, a motherboard or harddrive needs to be replaced to call for re-activation. This could make a BIOS change a gray area, since it would be the same board, but it's identifier would be slightly different [to indicate the newer BIOS]. -bZj Share this post Link to post
