HELLBRINGER 0 Posted July 4, 2001 I have an Epox EP-8KTA3. Seems no matter what Via 4in1 drivers I install I always get an problem with the Via Tech Standard CPU to PCI bridge. The error message is this in the device manager. -------------------------------------------------------- The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver. -------------------------------------------------------- I even install the drivers for it! But it still does it! Anyone know what is wrong and how to fix it? Thanks. Share this post Link to post
S7c7o7t7t7 0 Posted July 15, 2001 Try installing or, if you already have, reinstalling Win2k SP2. I had this same problem after installing the 4-in-1's post-SP2. The VIA Tech CPU-to-AGP patch is in SP2. ~Scott Share this post Link to post
HELLBRINGER 0 Posted July 15, 2001 I tried all of that, the only thing that works is not having SP2 on there. SP2 is too damn buggy anyway. It froze my computer several times. Then when I took it off it was back to seamless operation. Share this post Link to post
