Recommended Posts

ok i have tried every build from 2481 (i am on rc1 now), each thime i boot my pc with a network card in i get a blue screen saying irq less than or equal and then listing ndis.sys as the culprit. I have tried 3 different network cards all having the same error. Now i can get into windows but every time i try to install the driver it then has this blue screen. Please someone help. and can someone tell me if they have a netgear fa312 or other working in xp. Thanks Alot

Hard to say exactly what's going on since I don't know which 3 cards you tried, but I used to have this problem all the time under Windows 2000 and it turned out to be a result of excessive overclocking. If your CPU or PCI bus is overclocked any, turn it down some and see if the problem goes away. If you aren't overclocked, I don't know what to tell you. Could also just be a buggy PCI chip or northbridge controller. Check with VIA or whoever makes the chipset on your motherboard for the latest greatest driver.

I have a similar problem to this but i can't even get past the installation portion. The funny thing is i had winXP installed on this machine with no problems now i get blue screens. I am using a 3com 10/100 nic card, No overclocking at all, athlon 1.3, asus a7v motherboard. I have tried upgrading from win2000, win98, and doing a fresh install from a dos boot disk and I get the same blue screen.
