ExTerminator 0 Posted February 15, 2004 Hi I have a IC7-G Motherboard with a Intel ICH5 Raid controller. Anyone know if Mandrake 9.2 supports this controller? Because it doesn't find any disks under the disk detection during the install. Share this post Link to post
danleff 0 Posted February 16, 2004 Don't think that it does. I looked around and the kernel apparently does not support it. SATA raid, correct? Are you usng sata hard drives, or just one hard drive - non-sata? If the latter, try disabling raid and sata in the bios and see what happens. Supposedly Mandrake 10 or Fedora supports it. I'm using 2 SATA disks in a raid-0 stripe. Mandrake 10 is still beta right? Maybe you know if Suse or Redhat supports it? Share this post Link to post
danleff 0 Posted February 16, 2004 Yes it is, beta 2 right now, which I have installed on my system. Unfortunately, mine is not sata raid, so I can't be of much help here. Share this post Link to post
