Shrink 0 Posted July 7, 2001 I have the same error message - haven't noticed anything nasty happen (crashes) though it is somewhat irritating. Share this post Link to post
OLEerror 0 Posted July 8, 2001 I've been getting this as well. It occurs after installing certain programs (Java VM 5.2 update, Diablo II.) It is preventing my computer from shutting down or restarting. So it is a bit annoying. I haven't found a workaround, yet. Share this post Link to post
luders 0 Posted July 9, 2001 You can always change that darn kernel to MPS. The ACPI aint so champ in XP yet but I love it despite this. -Aaron Share this post Link to post

canonjon 0 Posted September 13, 2001 The errors went away with newer version of winxp that I had back then or when I updated my bios...can´t remember what I did Share this post Link to post
Palos 0 Posted September 13, 2001 Try to change the computer type from ACPI to Standard PC, or disable Plug and Play OS in the BIOS. Share this post Link to post
