rickr 0 Posted July 9, 2001 Is it possible to clear last user name in the Win2K logon prompt? Easy to do in NT4 via a registry tweak or using tweakui. Trying the same in Win2K has no result. I look after a NT4/Win2K network where most of the users are students, and I feel it is a better idea to clear the last user name. Less of an incentive to try and guess the previous users login. Can this be done, or am I wasting my time trying? _RpR_ Share this post Link to post
clutch 1 Posted July 9, 2001 This would normally be done in the Policy Editor, but this link shows how to do it in both NT and 2K: http://www.windows2000faq.com/Articles/Index.cfm?ArticleID=14894 Share this post Link to post
maxg 0 Posted July 10, 2001 As Aministrator, Control Panel | Administrative tools | Local Security Policy. Click Security Policies, double click Disable Display of Last User and Enable it. Share this post Link to post
