emthompson 0 Posted July 10, 2001 Ok, I am having a weird problem with 2000. Everytime I come back to my computer after letting it sit for a couple of hours I find that I have the blue screen of death. The error that the screen gives me is 0x00000077 (0x000000e, 0xc000000e, 0x00000000, 0x00c2c000) Kernel_Stack_Inpage_Error All of this means jack too me because i can't decrypt the native Microsoftian dialect. The only other thing that I know about this problem is that just before it does it windows gives a message that tells me that NT is going to shut its self down in 60 seconds. Unfortunaly I have only seen this message once and didn't get to read much because it turned into the blue screen in about 5 seconds not 60. I haven't installed any new programs or hardware recently. I was hoping that someone could use the numbers? to figure out what the hell my machine is doing. Share this post Link to post
Wolf87 0 Posted July 10, 2001 The Windows 2000 Resource kits are now freely available online: http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo/reskit/en/default.asp In the Windows 2000 Error Reference, Section Kernel, Sub-section STOP lists this error, caused by a bad block in the paging file or by a disk controller error. Either the virtual momory file written to disk was corrupted or was unreadable due to disk access failure. http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo/reskit/en/w2000Msgs/1224.htm If SP2 is not installed, install the Windows 2000 memory leak patch: http://download.microsoft.com/download/w..._SP2_x86_en.EXE This could be due to any piece of hardware or software, the power settings or ACPI configuration. Update hard disk controller driver. Share this post Link to post
