Ok guys,

I have to say I've never really had the SB Live issue, but in RC1 whenever I browse the web or do anything hard drive related my sound skips and slows down. My PC doesn't crash or freeze up but I have no idea if this is a driver issues with the HP370 Driver, Sound, VIA, ect. Regardless what is the best sound card for RC1, some guys are saying the Philips card. Please let me know which I should buy for similar performace in sound quality to the SB Live. Also I need one with RCA out to my sound system. Please let me know.

Thanks

Hi

I have a SB Live Platinum 5.1 and it works fine with the default Microsoft drivers from the install. I haven't messed with 3rd party drivers yet, becuase the build ones seem to work OK.

the Live! series of cards work good, but who knows how long it will take creative to make a complete Gay!ware package for XP. I have a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz and it works great with the new beta XP drivers they have come out with.
