DefBringer 0 Posted July 11, 2001 This horrible little icon repeatedly pops up in my tray every time I launch OutlookExpress DESPITE the fact I configure Outlook to refrain from doing so. I've had this problem with WinME and Win2k as well. How do I WIPE IT OFF my HD? Share this post Link to post

Seldzar 0 Posted July 11, 2001 You can't uninstall it its not in the windows components. Just go into the messenger options and uncheck Load at startup and run in background options Share this post Link to post
EddiE314 0 Posted July 11, 2001 actually you can install it, if you edit the sysoc.inf file and remove all the the "hide" 's then you can remove it and MSN Explorer Share this post Link to post

I simply cannot stand programs that run on my computer without my prior approval. Tray memory hogging programs are the work of the DEVIL. Share this post Link to post

DefBringer 0 Posted July 11, 2001 Very interesting. Despite the fact I've told Windows explorer to show all hidden files, a search on my C:\ drive still did not bring that file up. I found it in C:\windows\inf and I removed the HIDE's Thanks Share this post Link to post
