Gp3

Recommended Posts

I bought GP3.

Installs fine, but just crashes out to desktop after calibration of graphics. This is with the latest patch and without.

I have checked the alpha F1 forums and basically I am stumped.

2 things that I think may be causing this are :

a) I have DX8 installed

B) The dets i am using are just not compatible with this game

My m8 has also tried this to the same effect (different setup obviously)

The game worked on my BP6 with dual 433 cellys and V3 3000

I have the same prob.

System:

PIII 800EB

512 MB RAM PC133

Abit be6-2

geforce ddr

directx 8.0a

detonators 10.80

The weird thing is, it once worked fine (like 5 months ago), so i don't know what could be causing this problem. I put detonators 6.50 back today, cuz 10.80 crashed my comp sometimes while watching a video. I'll install gp3 tonight and i'll post back here.

Well i tried with the 6.50 drivers and it passed the calibrating successfully...

But i'm not gonna let that stop me from using newer drivers. GP3 runs fine when setting all the settings manually, no calibration needed.

Cheers for rgodart..

Btw, how did you set the calibration manually?

Did you install with 6.50's, and then install 12.41's over the top after installation?

Just wondering ;-)

Thanks again,

Yak
