JP- 0 Posted July 15, 2001 Anyone tried these drivers out yet? The version numbers get stranger with every driver release 8) Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted July 15, 2001 Nah, They skipped # 13 for obvious reasons. The 14.20 lowered my GL/D3D marks a couple of marks but no biggie. The 14.20's add an AGP slider into the drivers so they stay. Share this post Link to post
Wolf87 0 Posted July 15, 2001 Once Coolbits registry hack is enabled, the Hardware tab for overclocking appears in Control Panel and it works. Share this post Link to post
jcurbo 0 Posted July 15, 2001 I've got them, they work great.. About the version numbering system, I thought it was weird too to go from 12.x to 14.x, until I looked at the version number on the driver in Device Manager.. it's really 1.4.2.0, so in reality we just went up a minor version.. 1.2 to 1.4. No biggie. Share this post Link to post
GTwannabe 0 Posted July 15, 2001 They work great. Black and White now works without horrible artifacting/corruption (had to go way back to 7.97 drivers before the 14.2's came to be) Share this post Link to post
JP- 0 Posted July 16, 2001 k thanks, im using 12.41 atm, they seem good so i dont think ill bother changing Share this post Link to post
Sweevo 0 Posted July 16, 2001 They work well for me too - it's worth it just for the AGP slider. My benchmarks are pretty much identical in 3dMark2001 between the 12.41 and 14.20 drivers (but then again I only have an AMD K6-2 500Mhz!) Share this post Link to post
