INFERNO2000 0 Posted July 27, 2001 if it's the 6 pin(3 ground, 2 3.3, 1 5), it's used in some higher end server boards for extra power(usually these are dual chip boards) for the most part, you won't find them unless you're running a dual pentium. The only dual AMD out has a proprietary supply, and the MSI model coming out soon uses the P4 4pin 12V--not sure if it uses the Aux as well. Share this post Link to post
Ali 0 Posted July 27, 2001 i'm just wondering?!?!?!? what does AUX on sound card do. it is an input but it just makes noise!! whenever it is not muted! sorry it is not related to this topic but..... Share this post Link to post
CUViper 0 Posted July 27, 2001 Ali - the aux input on sound cards is usually just a second line-in port... but if there's nothing hooked to it, it may make noise. Share this post Link to post
