How can I set it to AGP 4x? Any Ideas? Thanks William Share this post Link to post
drdoug99 0 Posted August 3, 2001 did you check your BIOS? usually it's set to a 2x default, you have to manually set it to 4x. that's how it is in my Abit mobo. other than that, if you can't get it to work, i wouldn't worry about it too much, your not going to see a performance increase very much. the extra bandwidth from setting it at 4x can't be utilized by most of today's video cards, due to memory limitations and processor limitations, of the card itself. at least that's what I've heard, i could be wrong. Yearout 0 Posted August 5, 2001 drdoug99 is right some people just go nuts over the 4x. I don't mean you. Sometimes if you overclock some motherboards (mine) turn it back to 2x. Share this post Link to post
